	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://features.cgsociety.org/gallerycrits/27436/27436_1195080735_small.jpg"><br><br>Second in a series of android characters. Modelled and rendered in Lightwave 9.2 from scratch using glowing 2 point poly chains for the body armour and hypervoxel sprites for the backdrop. The design is a homage to the cosmic creations of 1960s Jack Kirby and 1970s Moebius. The model is fully rigged but I stuck with the T pose for this initial render as the composition seemed to work. ]]>

Inspired by the wonderfully wacky creations of Ralph Stumpf I aimed to create an   original character from a cube primitive using Lightwave Sub Ds. UVs were added later in ZBrush. The textures were painted directly on the model using an excellent Ukrainian program 3D Brush. ]]>
